About Me
Welcome! I am a cishet (she/her) second generation Australian with Korean ancestry, living on Whadjuk Noongar boodja. I am a highly experienced mental health occupational therapist, regarded for my gentle, compassionate and inclusive therapeutic approach.
I self-identify as being neurodivergent which, together with my training as an occupational therapist, has influenced my interest in using creative ways of working, and a strong focus on finding what works best for each person.
In my work I focus on helping people optimise their internal and external resources; both a stronger connection to themselves and to communities around them. I also have a strong interest in supporting people who identify as not fitting into the mainstream , including the following:
highly sensitive
culturally and racially marginalised
neurodivergent
experience situational mutism
I utilise therapeutic frameworks that support a systemic and humanistic frame of reference, including Internal Family Systems, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Family & Systemic Therapy.
I am limited in my capacity to work with NDIS participants (this may change in future); however am happy to provide recommendations of OTs working in this space.
Outside of work I enjoy dabbling in various crafty projects, singing in a choir, and spending time in nature.
